Event Raises Funds for American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

 Havens Associates, LLC presents HAVENSTOCK 2009, on the green at The Dirty Martini on October 24, 2009.

The charity of choice for Havens Associates since our inception has been any charity involved in breast cancer research, care, and community.  It is our great pleasure to support the American Cancer Society with our fundraising concert event to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.  It is our goal to raise at least $10,000 from this event in order to support research to prevent this horrible disease and to provide funds to ease the suffering and help transition current victims and survivors.

As such, we will be holding an outdoor concert festival event; made possible by the tremendous and generous support of dozens of local businesses on the green next to The Dirty Martini bar in Cornelius on October 24.  The event will be held rain or shine under two large tents that encompass over 2,200 sq ft, as well as the resources of The Dirty Martini itself.  There will be 4-7 bands, food provided by some of the best local establishments including eeZ Fusion and Sushi, Dirty Martini, and several other food, wine, and spirit sponsors.  We look forward to a tremendously successful and enriching event for a great cause and a great community.

This event will include a VIP Pre-Party which includes a live charity auction with several thousands of dollars in valuable donations available and top shelf liquor, wine, and food.

WHY:             
HAVENSTOCK 2009 will benefit the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.  The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service.
